Human Constanta
3 June 2019

This report is an assessment of the situation with transit refugees and a description of our activities in Brest in 2018.

In comparison with 2017, the overall situation remains the same. On average, however, there is a slight decrease in the total number of transit refugees in the city. In 2018, their number ranged from 100 to 300 people. In 2018, we recorded the smallest number of transit refugees since the beginning of our work in 2016.

We have been surveying people seeking asylum in Poland, interviewing them at the railway station, providing informational, humanitarian and consulting assistance. Besides that, we have been responding to incidents involving refugees both in Brest and in Terespol.
